With a name like "toggle", you would think that there's something very alternative looking over these watches. There is. Just another one of those soft-sounding names who loves to give their watches citizen sports. My favorite is so far the clock "Atessa". That's not nearly as female a clock as the name might imply. In fact, Atessa is a very powerful and durable timepiece. Alterna citizen watches make up a really big family of watches, most of which are not available in the United States. I wrote about another citizen Toggle watch here a while back. If you Toggle Google Citizen, you will find a wide range of some really cool stuff. Problem is that non of them seem to fit a "mold" family, and will be gouged a bit when buying them online as are not officially for the US market. Additionally, the name of "Citizen Alternates pilot" does not restrict this collection completely, as there are other models with this same name. You must use the reference numbers that are: VO10-3831T, VO10-6833T and VO10-6832T.
I have a feeling that this watch is gonna come to the u.s. market. Is part of a series of Japanese watches from both citizen and Seiko thematically similar to advertised watches from brands such as Sinn and Bell & Ross. Has all the bits and pieces that make a watch popular in USA.Is easy to read, "sports, themed activities," and not very expensive. not sure exact price yet, but by converting yen, they would cost about $ 250-$ 300.
The pilot Alternates arrives in a series of colors (maybe more than shown here), in a black IP or brushed stainless steel case that is 42.5 mm wide. The strap is nylon and is sort of a mix between a strap stand and a NATO strap with some contrast stitching. Sport very oriented, that I like. Crystal above the dial is mineral (OK for this price) and luminant is lume Lumibrite citizens that is available in various colours.The case is water resistant to 100 meters. movement is movement for quartz 19,650 like Eco-Drive that light is powered. Very interesting choice on behalf of citizens to leave off the label "Eco-Drive" on the dial.
At first glance the dial looks like has a chronograph, but then you realize that those are an AM/PM (hand synced 24 hours a day) and indicators of calendar (date/day). Some people are gonna come, that others aren't simply. No chronograph is OK, but would have gladly traded the day of the week indicator for a hand subsidiary seconds.
