Watches MKII hands-on

Bill Yao. For some of you that name immediately evokes the respect and attention, and for many of you that the name is new. I'll let Bill give you his story total, but is considered to be one of the modifiers to look more precisely in the United States. He was one of the guys who would wear a watch is already had and do things like change the connection, hands, bezel, candlelight, etc. ... Help people get their "dream" look. Then Bill started MKII watches-branded offers ready built watches, as well as those with a number of customization options in the spirit of what Mr. Yao is most known for.

Here are just a few pictures of many different watches offering MKII (MkII). Each is very classic look and feel and it reminds of the military or professional watches that may know and love. This year is a new exciting Kingston MKII model, which is a series of Rolex watches homage to early Submariners. Collectors know exactly what happens MKII. Watch maker Is MKII only another giveaway? No Bill Yao in addition to having a great eye and passion for detail, he makes a lot of things uniquely. the appearance of its watches is very impressive, and loves what he does. Parts are done well, and watches bring also surprisingly fair prices.

Now MKII main clock has a few lines, and each has a number of different variants, as well as customization options. Thus, there are many, many combinations of MKII watches to choose from. Bill was wise to offer both pre-built templates for those guys aren't too interested in dig deep customization options, but still offering its traditional services to many customers that rely on your work.

MKII is based in the United States, but uses the mechanical movements. As such, you can generate MKII in the list of high quality creators, indy American clock. While MKII has have some of their own unique designs, they are masters watching the giveaway.Really wanted that Rolex XXXX since 1960, but either can't afford or find one? more likely than not MKII has you covered. In addition, you can get free gift pieces that have the looks you like classic, without elements that is not, and of course you got a totally modern clock. As I get the craze behind collecting vintage watches, personally I like the new stuff. It's gonna last longer, and you don't have to put on wit things like old crystals and movements that are in need of refurbishment.

Apart from the looks good and high quality watches MKII, the prices are really equi. most prices that I have seen are under $ 1000, and almost everything is under $ 2000. most people who buy MKII watches these days are serious clock snob collectors, which are extremely picky with what buy. MKII is quite busy with these guys don't have to branch out to much, but you really shouldn't miss MKII for some great looking clocks that you can literally "the."Check out their site to see all the things they offer, and I will try to get some practical action soon.

RGM Pennsylvania Tourbillon MM 2 Watch

I was sure what to expect when I first laid eyes on movement for a Tourbillon of RGM Pennsylvania (which I have discussed here). Certainly the final version is not very different from that of the preview, I saw a while ago, but seeing everything put together a random text, hands, and finishing is really satisfying. I feel quite a price level which is seeing this clock, knowing that it's all American. Really doesn't have much to do with the fact that "we can do it." If Americans needed to build a Tourbillon a while ago, we would have. This is not a result in technology or engineering. Rather, it is a sign of our appreciation American into beautiful watches. That we care enough about watches good looking, traditional to invest enough to make ours. That to me feels good and a positive sign that Americans are taking watches seriously again. An appreciation of lost (largely), who's back, little by little.

RGM offers the Tourbillon Pennsylvania (made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania) steel, gold, or Platinum. And it is very expensive but also handmade. The cost is $ 75 k steel, $ 95 k gold and $ 125 k in Platinum.ricey, but not out of the question when the sum of its production process and competition. This isn't just a tourbillon, but a finely made mechanical element.

Duties include only time and the tourbillon-that is big enough and visually balances off center hour and minute of connection. In all honesty, the movement is fairly simple. No fancy tricks, complications or functionality.Just a tourbillon that would not be by place of Ben Franklin workshop. 43.5 mm wide case is highly polished with a thinking coined edging on the other side of the case. There is also a small exhibition Sapphire on the side of the case to another vision of the movement.

Finishing and decoration on the movement (which is also the quadrant) is impressive and done in a classic style. I didn't see myself the clock, but I'm really looking forward to examine personally it under magnification. Is very good, watching the mechanical watch and for some reason in fact hear distinctly American. part of this is because RGM based designing bridges and decorating after American classic pocket watches.

While the watch of Pennsylvania Tourbillon MM 2 is simple and manually wound, I can see RGM upping the ante a bit with future models that have more complications. The entry was probably designed in a way that makes it possible to design more complications on or around it.

RGM has also launched a special "trade-in" programs for its clients. If you have enough spare RGM watches posing around, just might be enough to get one of their tourbillons. you never know! you visit the site for more details on that program.

Sinn 902 Limited Edition Watch

I think that Audi is the brand especially thank you for this new watch Sinn. In 2004 (ish) worked with Sinn to create a pair of limited edition watches brand "Audi Design." These watches (at least some of them) can see below and seem to be where this squareish, pillow case style came from. Now, at the end of 2010, Sinn revisits this case aesthetic with 902. A retro-futuristic clock very interesting with the heart of an aviator and a body of the designer.

At first I was a little odded off the style of case and connection. It did not I remember ruthless watch instrumental watches Sinn thematically similar to the look of a chihuahua Doberman cold while on patrol. The model 902 is rather like Hans straps on her wrist after affixed eyewear lensed perfectly round before reading about Existentialism Teutonic and pulling a black turtleneck. The era of futurism idealist since 1971, is where the design of this clock seems to come from. As the guy selling timeshare for property on the moon back then would have worn this watch.Despite the naivety retro, there's a nice hope for design. hands of Aviator style communicate strength and precision, while cases Tegimented hard steel gives that character Sinn the name little on the dial promises.

Alas, my hope for everyone to wear this watch and longingly watching a future vacations on the Moon, the piece may be too small for my liking. While it is cubic in appearance (often appears larger), a width of just 34.4 mm diameter seems lacking. There is zero mention from Sinn watch is intended to women, but not a big piece. Apart from some modern pieces, Sinn is a trademark that does not go large. Those seeking a petite more, but good looking (and feeling original) clock will find here a good companion.

Assuming the size jive with you, then you'll be happy to hear about the rest of the details. The frame is polished steel, while the rest of the watch is in a satin finish. Sapphire Crystal with ANTI-REFLECTIVE coating and very good environmental resistance that Sinn watches are known for (suitable for low-pressure environments, OK between t0-45, 80 degrees Celsius and waterproof to 100 metres).

The Crown of clock is cool and looks like the top of a tower of caste. The clock proudly German never misses a beat being a functional element-but here plays with an elegant appearance. There is an appealing addition to the hand colored red dial seconds, and markers are now partially connected by creating a second form of cushion inside the quadrant that corresponds to the shape cause. Attached to the case style through lugs of the cycle is a belt of black leather quality.

In all, a fascinating design.Would totally wear one If Sinn added at least 4 inches over the size of the case. Then again, maybe a version "jumbo" comes out at some point. The watch is likely something of an experiment.Within the watch is a Swiss automatic movement ETA 2824-2.This watch is limited to just 300 pieces. making it a rare limited edition which is not based on another template with a few small changes. the closest thing I can compare to is the square of Fortis. what will that each of these limited edition watches cost model 902? not sure, but give the movement and Sinn of other prices, I would say in the range of $ 2500-$ 3000 most likely. UPDATE: adapts as will go to 1300 euros.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Watch in A Boat

AP is on a boat!  Often times a watch doesn't assert itself well until it is in its "natural environment." That is not the case with the new AP ROO Diver (Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver) because it looks good pretty much everywhere. But if you want to see what the design is really all about, and meant for - then you will take it on a boat. The Royal Oak collection as a whole began with influence from boats. You have no idea how many watches began with boat windows or portholes. Hublot is basically an entire brand that started around this concept. The porthole is a cornerstone design element of so many luxury sport watches!

The trimaran style boat is quite large and can hit speeds of up to about 60 knots. That is really fast in the ocean! This is with optimal wind and a full crew. The boat is so fast, it doesn't even compete against other ships - only against the clock. It would easily beat anything else out there that didn't rely on an engine. We took a yacht ("I'm on a boat!") to see l'Hydroptere off the coast of Saint Tropez in the South of France. The ship plans to engage on a record setting trip next year in the Pacific ocean. The whole idea of the boat is to be one of a series of sailing vessels that will be faster and faster. L'Hydroptere is a collaboration between Swiss and French engineers and sailing experts.

Audemars Piguet's last sailing sponsorship was with the Alinghi, and since then has been eager to get back into the world of performance wind-powered boating. You could tell that AP as a whole loves the genre. In their offices and in the manufacture are posters and models of the Alinghi ship - those will likely be replaced with mini l'Hydroptere's soon enough.

Is the Royal Oak Offshore the official watch for the l'Hydroptere relationship? Hardly, it is just their latest marine themed watch. I have confirmation that Audemars Piguet will not only release a l'Hydroptere limited edition watch, but it will be a very special one. As a bit of trivia aside, according to the team members who sail the ship, their dream features for a watch while sailing are that it should: be very light, have the time, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a tide chart, and a barometer with a history/log function. All easy to see at a glance. So someone get working on that. Maybe Audemars Piguet is as well!

For more details (and other images) on the beautiful AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver, I believe the price of the watch is about $15,000. I am quite enamored with this piece. 44mm wide steel case, cool finishing, easy to read AP Offshore style dial, 300 meters water resistant, beautifully functioning inner rotating diver's bezel, and an incredible high-quality rubber strap. It is a killer dive watch, and you WILL want one (if you can afford one).  So if you find yourself on a boat... then this Audemars Piguet timepiece will fit the bill with ease.

Hublot Big Bang Minute Repeater Tourbillon Watch

This watch from Hublot has a motion made by Department of Mathias Buttet. Buttet performs the Confrerie Horlogere Hublot (formerly of the concept of BNB)-discussed over here. The movement is incredibly gorgeous traditional compared to forward-looking designs of Hublot watches. The piece is called the Big Bang Tourbillon Minute Repeater and merely just 10 pieces. Duties include the time, a flying tourbillon and a Repeater minute's great resonance.
